In this unprecedented project, in addition to tracing the philosophical-scientific (epistemological) correlation between the “homeopathic theory of chronic diseases” and “epigenetics”, we describe the main scientific evidence supporting the hypothesis that the homeopathic medicine can act in genome (epigenome) by modulating the expression of the disease-promoting genes.
As a clinical and experimental proposal, we are suggesting the use of the auto-sarcode (auto-isotherapic) of DNA as anti-miasmatic homeopathic medicine and modulator of gene expression, which may be used in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases. With this purpose, we have described a protocol for preparation of this ‘individualized medicine’, from the ‘DNA extraction after peripheral blood collection’ to the pharmacotechnical steps to developing the ‘dynamized medicine’ (valuing intrinsic characteristics of the DNA collected).
Because it is a theoretical proposal, without the scientific basis that allows its immediate and unrestricted use in humans, we are calling researchers to help us in the validation (or not!) of this approach, developing basic and clinical research in the area. If the proposal to be confirmed experimentally, answering the many questions raised in the project, we can use it in the future as a homeopathic treatment complementary to the classic approaches.
